Minnesota bans BPA today!

Published by Linda at 8:43 am under BPA, Baby Care, Green Home, Legislations

I am so excited to learn that Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty made Minnesota the first state to ban BPA from bottles and sippy cups today by signing the legislation into law.  Only 13 of the 179 votes were in opposition to the ban.  The Governor also signed the Toxic Free Kids Act which addresses the problems in toxic products for children.

While bills are also pending in California, Michigan, New York, and Connecticut; this action by Governor Pawlenty makes it loud and clear to the chemical industry that change is happening!

Keep it coming American, this has been needed for a long time and will happen.

This is so great! BPA is awful. We have a client who makes juice for kids (First Juice http://www.firstjuice.com) that comes in bottles that are already BPA free. Also, they are dishwasher safe so you can re use them! Not to mention the juice is actually delicious and gluten free.
